Who this policy covers
This policy covers thehorsehoney.com, operated by Thehorsehoney, the U.S. stocking partner for Horse Honey, at 1370 Avenue of the Americas, Floor 4, New York, NY 10019, USA.
It does not cover the checkout you are handed to when you click an order button. That checkout belongs to the marketplace listing and operates under its own privacy terms, which you should read there. We do not see your card details at any point and we do not receive them afterwards.
It also does not cover sites we link to. Where a page links to the NIH, the FDA or a journal, that link leaves this site and their policies apply from that point.

This site is for adults. The product is for adults 18 and over, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, it will be deleted.
The information we specifically do not want
Most privacy policies describe what a company collects. It is worth being equally clear about what we would rather never receive, because the safest data is the data that was never sent.
Do not send us health information. Not your conditions, not your medications, not your test results, not a description of a symptom. We are not clinicians, we cannot advise on any of it, and a website's inbox is a poor place for it to live. If you have a health question about this product, the right recipients are your doctor and your pharmacist.
Do not send us card numbers. This site never takes payments and there is no circumstance in which we would need one. Anybody asking for card details in the name of this website is not us.
Do not send passwords, and do not send documents you would not want copied. An email to a website is not a secure channel and we do not pretend otherwise.
If you do send something in this category, we will delete it rather than file it, and we will tell you that we have.

Four parties, and only one of them is us. Knowing which is which is most of what a privacy policy is for.

Thehorsehoney. Publishes the pages, receives any email you send, and sees aggregate analytics. Holds no orders and no card details.
The checkout
The marketplace listing where your purchase completes. It collects your payment and delivery information under its own privacy terms, which you should read there.
The order desk
+1 (302) 200-3480, operated by BuyGoods. Holds the order record and handles tracking, changes and refunds.
The carrier
Whoever delivers the parcel. Receives your delivery address in order to deliver to it, which is the ordinary arrangement for any physical order.
Analytics
A standard web analytics service, counting page visits in aggregate. Not used to build a profile of you and not used to follow you across other sites.
Nobody else
We do not sell, rent or share your information with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else, and there is no arrangement under which that could happen.
How affiliate tracking works, in plain terms
This is the part of a privacy policy that is usually left vague, so here it is plainly.
When you click an order button, the link carries a code identifying this website as the referrer. The checkout reads that code, and if a purchase completes it is attributed to us and we are paid a commission on it.
What that mechanism identifies is the referral, not you. It says a visitor arrived from thehorsehoney.com. It does not tell us who you are, it does not tell us what you bought, and it does not hand us your name, address or card details.
The code is typically stored as a cookie on your device for a period set by the checkout provider. Clearing your cookies removes it, which means a later purchase would not be attributed to us. You are entirely free to do that, and we are saying so on our own privacy page.
Every order button on this site carries rel="sponsored nofollow" in its markup, which is the honest technical signal for a paid link and the one search engines ask for.
Requests, and what happens to them
Write to [email protected]. We will tell you what we hold, which in most cases is the email you sent and nothing else, and we will delete it on request unless we are required to keep it. We do not charge for this, we do not require a form, and we do not ask you to verify your identity with documents for a request about an email you sent us from that same address.
What clearing your cookies actually does
Three separate things live in browser storage on a site like this one, and clearing cookies affects them differently, so it is worth separating them.
Your cookie preference. Clearing it means you will be asked again on your next visit, which is a minor inconvenience and nothing more.
The analytics identifier. Clearing it means your next visit is counted as a new one. Nothing about you is lost because nothing about you was stored.
The referral code. Clearing it means a later purchase is not attributed to this site and we are not paid a commission on it. That is the only one of the three with a consequence for us rather than for you, and we would rather explain it than leave it out of a privacy page.
Nothing on this site depends on cookies to function. Block all three and every page still works exactly as it does now.
